In this dark tragicomic play, the emperor Caligula has just suffered the loss of his beloved wife Drusilla and, shocked by the horror and meaninglessness of life, takes it out on Rome. He murders elected officials at random, impersonates Venus, goddess of love, and demands nothing less than the moon. New translation by Director Ittai Orr and Assistant Director Marianne Barthelemy.
